Colonel Sanders Pulled From River

After 24 years a statue of KFC's Colonel Sandrs has been pulled from a river in Osaka, Japan. He was finally recovered this week after crazed baseball fans threw him in the river celebrating after the Hanshin Tigers won the league championship in 1985. Fans often jump into the murky river to celebrate the team's successes. The Colonel is in police custody currently but he may be donated to the team. The KFC chain currently operates about 1,160 restaurants in Japan, and has about 1,000 Colonel Sanders statues in the country.
