Last night I had the pleasure of attending a screening of the Oscar nominated film, "Milk". This film stars Sean Penn as Harvey Milk, a early national gay rights advocate and was the first openly gay man elected to public office in the United States. I found the film to be incredibly well made with an outstanding ensemble cast lead by Best Actor Oscar nominee Sean Penn and James Franco as Scott Smith. "Milk" shows not only the life and death of Harvey Milk but documents the early struggle for gay rights not only in California but across America.
